No Hugs Allowed

So yesterday in school we were forced to take a three and a half hour course on Sexual Harassment. I'd have no problem with this, but after hearing what they said I changed my mind very quickly. Did you know that hugging is Sexual Harassment? Well neither did I, mostly because it isn't. They say it is because it makes others feel uncomfortable. Both people consent to the hug, making it welcome which isn't Sexual Harassment, but apparently anyone else standing near you while you hug somebody could turn it into SH (Sexual Harassment) if they feel uncomfortable. Who feels uncomfortable from seeing a hug? Hugs are probally one of the friendliest gestures ever. What type of society do we live in where you can't hug a friend because others are around? It may seem like i'm making a big deal because over hugs, but it's more than just that. In todays world friends are some of the most important things, they're always there for you when you need them. If America is so free we should be able to hug these people in public places. Why should we need to go home, make sure no one is looking, then hug? It isn't like we're taking our clothes off and getting raunchy in public, it's just a simple hug. I disagree strongly with this whole thing. I've never met a person who gets uncomfortable seeing people hug. As stated, it's just a warm gesture to show you care. For that to make you uncomfortable you must be a really cold person. Someone who just can't stand to see others happy and want them to be alone and miserable. It's just a hug, it's not making out or sex, just a simple hug. And that's all i have to say about that.
